True Agenda: On Philippine Educational System

Monday, March 26, 2007

Last night I watched the premiere telecast of The Philippine Agenda of GMA 7. The program is related to the election coming May 2007. It talks about the present situation of the Philippines, the problems, and the reality bits of every Filipino family life… Their endeavors and struggles for survival in their daily living… Their overly fixated thirst for just supremacy in the land. And their undying hunger for good government policies and strategies.Last night they tackled about the current situation of the Philippine Educational System. Jessica Soho (the host) presented the situation of the public schools in the Greater Manila Area and also in other provinces…

A Salute!

Thursday, March 22, 2007

A salute to the new graduates! Your path were long and winding… The travel was not that easy… I know all of it because I have experienced every endeavors encountered by students… The four years of college life was very fatal! You do not know if you passed or flunked! But you all faced problems with pride and dignity, and soared high in the sky! As what my sister always says "It's Tiring Yet Inspiring!"

"Welcome to the world of unemployed!"… Here's a poem for everyone… But of course I am the main character of the poem… hehehe… This isn't about graduation!!! It's about life after graduation… :D

Parkour

Sunday, March 18, 2007

Parkour originated from France 20 years ago. It is sometimes called Le Parkour and is abbreviated to PK. Parkour is an art of displacement, a physical french art and the goal of this game is to move from one point to another as efficient as possible. Parkour is a lot difficult and different from the usual sports we have such as basketball, volleyball, and etc. Male parkour practitioners are called traceurs while females are called traceuses. The authors said that Parkour is difficult to categorize because it is not an extreme sport and it is of resemblance to martial arts, so the traceurs simply said "Parkour is Parkour". In Parkour, you don't need to have a court to play the game, no umpires, and no rules. In Parkour you can use everything, like rocks, trees,  everything! Name it, you can all use everything that you can grab and is stable! Parkour is about training of the body and the mind wherein you need to have accurate speed, unique moves, and how you react effectively and with versatility on your own technique that works with variance of movements.

Ionic Detoxification

Sunday, March 11, 2007

Ionic Detoxification is a non-invasive procedure to detoxify the body. All you need to do is rest your feet into the water for 20- 30 minutes… To me, it looks like you are just having a foot massage. Get it?

After 20-30 minutes of relaxing, the water content's transparency will change into a darker color. The color will depend on which organ of the body the toxins originated. They say that changes in the color of the water from transparent to even more darker color equals the toxins expelled from our body.  Analysts say that the toxins are pulled out by our body via osmosis.

Difference of a Davaoeño

This was from a friend Yukki Gallardo…, I kinda liked it, so I posted it in here…

How can one distinguish a Davaoeño from a Cebuano? Or to a Cagayanon? Difficult? Easy! Davaoeños are one of the most unique people in the world. We can easily stand out if we are placed in a crowd of Filipinos from other parts of the country. And how, you say? Language.

Davao City, aptly called the melting pot of cultures, is home to many dialects. Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilonggo, Ilocano, Chavacano, Moslem, Bicolano. Name it, we’ll speak it. If the Filipino language is a composition of all the dialects and languages in the Philippines, you might as well say that the language we speak in Davao City is the real Filipino language, and not Tagalog. However, since it is hodgepodge of different tongues, it is sometimes funny to hear our language “bastardizing” for a lack of better word, the other dialects. Strangely, that distinguishes us from the rest. Try these…

Walang Kwenta ‘To!
