Life’s Environs

    Living here in Davao is hard. I never thought that earning some bucks is hard!  When I was still in school, I was a passive student! I never mind having poor grades, I was a happy go lucky guy! You can always see me in clubs together with my friends drinking and having so much fun! I am always present in every coffee shops elsewhere in Davao City everyday! I don't worry about money at all! I may not have experienced living here the hard way when I was still schooling but now it came like a grenade, so rapid and so mind blowing… 
    Living here is really tough, how much more if I was living in a more expensive environment- Manila?! Although Manila is not included in the recent list of luxurious cities or most expensive cities according to lifestyle worldwide, but it still is one of the most expensive cities to live in the Philippines. A friend of mine from college got the chance to apply as a staff nurse in the ever so popular St. Luke's Medical Center… The Mecca of the Philippines on new state of the art equipment, new surgical interventions, and is one of the most expensive hospital in Asia. It is also a dream institution for Filipino nurses to be affiliated with. But she declined the offer. I don't know what is her rationale behind it but for sure she thought of the expenses once she will stay there for good or until her contract ends. And I admire her for that! Another  friend of mine from elementary told me in one of our conversation that I should try my luck in Manila for there are many opportunities for me to have a job there. And I told her that I will think about it. I really don't know what to expect about Manila. Well she studied in Manila so she must have coped up with Manila's environment but not me. Maybe I would just be a visitor in Manila, but living my dream there- well I'll think about it! My mind is still open about it!
