The Philipppines may be the only one left in the world where the church and politics are one and the same. Politics will not mobilize without the prior consent of the Church (But of course, this is my own thought). Remember the issue about PAGCOR about building a E-City? The idea was blocked by the Church because it is a no good for the children and for the people for it can ruin lives and people may be addicted to it! You see the logic? Haaayyy… If and only if the church will not interfere with politics, the country today might be reaping into greater heights, making good investments… I also dream of the Philippines as a center of the world… Bringing the Philippines to the world and the world to the Philippines would be great… PAGCOR really made a good thinking there, casinos are one of the best asset of America to lure in visitors, look at the San Diego casinos, and the oh so popular Las Vegas casinos… The casinos are one of the reason that makes America the wealthiest!
Yeah, I truly agree with you! They are blocking good investments for the Philippines! Why must they interfere with these good stuffs? I mean seriously, the church must not be interfere with politics! They have different aspects!

And yes, Vegas is the gambling / entertainment capital of the world. Probably it is still a barren desert by now if not for those casinos.
However it is also known as Sin City. I suppose this is what the Church is trying to block. With gambling, alcohol will follow, and prostitution is rampant as it is.
For the would be players, who’s going to stop them from burying themselves in debt in order to play?
Next question is, where will the income go?
:D…
peace
I guess you’re right John! But to the would be players, they should know their limitations! They should know when to stop… And prostitution is rampant all around the world so there would be no big deal out of it… And the income??? To the people… Or maybe NOT! hehe

Seriously? I mean does the church still interfere with the Philippine politics? Like what other issues are they interfering with? hmm i dunno, i just thought it was weird, although I totally respect our tradition and all but the church blocking potential Philippine investments and such is rather stupid…in my opinion at least.
